This event marks the launch of the Centre for Progressive Capitalism, a new cross-party think tank. A panel of leading political and business leaders will debate the disparate levels of trust in business and discuss what needs to be done by firms and government to support a more inclusive growth model.
The Centre’s mission is to develop policies to instigate a more progressive and democratic capitalism, thereby boosting our long term prosperity and welfare. This entails promoting inclusive growth and improving levels of public trust in the workings of a dynamic market economy within the UK and across the EU.
The Centre will concentrate on framing radical but practical new policy proposals that can command a broad consensus in business and politics. The areas of focus for the Centre include increasing access to technical skills, housing and capital, as well as improving the effectiveness of corporate governance institutions.
